I started taking photos of my paintings to showcase them, then I zoomed in on our home furnishings - the dotted and orange throw pillows, polka-designed ottobox. My husband and I collaborated on the project whilst my skillful mum made our ideas a reality. My mum has a handmade gift shop at etsy. The wooden table was an achievement -- inherited from my uncle or my grandfather....not quite sure who really owned it but I've always loved this table. I was a happy receiver. The coffee table was a little bit distressed with bits of patches. Borrowed some power tools from the library. A bit dangerous for a first timer refinishing and carving wood but I was extra careful. I learned the wood grain's nature as I sanded and decided to follow its natural grain patterns. I love how it turned out. Man, it was a lot of hard work yet all worth it...had to clean-up all the wood dust all over the place afterwards too.
