More Weddings
The last week has been busy preparing and helping follow-through with details for a friend's wedding. One of the groomsman was a friend of mine too so he stayed at our place for a few days - we all stayed up till wee hours in the morning chatting.
I had the role of coordinating on the day of the wedding and have gained { fortunately } lots of positive memories. One of my best memories on the evening was my interaction with the mother of the groom, the cousin of the bride and the aunt of the groom - who are all to be seated at the Head Table. We all had a good laugh at the course of the conversation making decisions on what to do whilst waiting for the bride and groom as they were running a bit late. The details I believe may be best not written for the public ( i think ) as there could be some Asian customs to consider. ( I am not quite sure what the custom is though, being Aussiefied and somehow a perplexed Asian sometimes - it can get confusing by the third move to another culture ). Well, I could write other great memories though. Later on the evening as we were all settled celebrating the union of Daniel & Keisha over dinner. Table No. 5 where I was seated seems to be either a bunch who loves food or have a good appetite. Our table somehow finishes up every thing that's on the plate whilst the other table doesn't. Fortunately and fondly one of the guys on our table is not shy asking the other table and eventually other tables for their left overs. We ended up having 3 plates of lobster, 2 veggie and abalone plates, and an extra tiny bit of fish from another table -- which seems to be everyone's favourite. The "official photographer and videographer" were also on Table No. 5 so we have to wait for the food to be photographed before we touch it. The photographer's son would run - off to call his dad whenever a dish gets served -- the funny thing is he also learnt how to scout for left overs on other tables. We also cheered for the 2 bridesmaids who were on our table to catch the bouquet. At the end of the day it had been a nice day, our table was indeed not boring, and we were all happy for the newly weds ~ both looked gorgeous and beaming.
