life priorities

Flashbacks.

When I migrated to Sydney. I had a list in my head of the places that I wanted to see and have to know where. The grocery food wasn't in my list surprisingly although when I walked through the aisles I have no idea what product to go for.

The list in my head.

  1. Jazz Place
  2. Good Restaurants
  3. Best buys for products, shopping that I need for settling-in
  4. Paper and Art Store
  5. Advertising Agencies
  6. Aboriginal Artist - I wanted to see the making of an aboriginal artwork
  7. the best place to live
  8. Who are the top design schools
  9. Church to attend
Then the move to America, the list I had in my head were
  1. Where I can get plates
  2. Where can I find the sneakers I would like
  3. Church to attend
  4. When we can buy a house and settle
  5. What activities, events are there around my neighbourhood
  6. A Christ-centred accountability friend/group
  7. An entrepeneur mentor
  8. Quiet-time spot
  9. attend a-weekend-to-remember seminar
  10. Aussie networks in America - the cultural changes and adjustments, the plus and the minus of being in America
Being in America, gave me time to enjoy certain things in life that I haven't done for awhile. Painting and cycling. Rediscovering my love for specialty papers. I used to collect expensive paper and can't get myself to use it unless I have a lot of them. I kind of needed to have a "copy" on file. Stroll driving to check out views and architecture, that is if I know my way back home.

The list reveals a lot about who we are and how our priorities change. Although, some do remain.

Do you know your sub-conscious priorities? Does it matter if you know?
