I like both of them but if I have to choose one and only one, I'd pick the second 'B'. I like how the semi-corporate / structured logo on the left balances off the 'rawness' of the B on the right. :)
i like the second one because it is more definitive and rather striking. it also appears to have better composition due to the use of space.

definitely second 'B'. Its strokes & use of bold orange colour are dynamic and definite; its use of 'empty' white space is clean and neat.
first 'b' appears to be rather weak, un-finished and uncertain.
Definitely the one with the Big B on the right. Simple yet stylish with an attitude.
i prefer the second 'B' as well. It is definitely more distinct and eye catching - thanks to the use of greater contrast and the simple bold captital 'B'.
the first 'b' is cool and while i like the old chinese scripts/signatures, overall the design seems a little too soft?

The first b seems to be unbalanced on the white card - the placement of the b and the chinese stamps and the logo aren't well placed. Because the little b is bottom heavy, perhaps placing the other logos higher up would balance it. I think that the sketchy style of the b doesnt match the blocky logo and stamps, also.
I prefer the second b, because of the striking colour and asymmetric placing and the contrast between the clean and long logo with the tall and sketchy big B. It also seems to be less cluttered than the first one.
Thanks for leaving your comments. Great to see other people's perspective. Let your friends know about it too - if they can give their opinion. THANKS!
I'm replying this the Third Time... I like the First Logo with the capital B instead from Second Logo.. Capital B is bold and the oriental motif adds an exotic touch.
Hi Bernee
I'm going with everyone else- 2nd B- the capital one - it's definite, strong, bold, sure, assertive, I can trust it cos it knows where its going. i don't know if you need to ask for anymore input given that it's 100% leaning one way. What do you prefer yourself?
Hi Miriam, The first B is the original and root of the second alpha B design. The second alpha B design was developed from the first for a note card and paper goods collection - which is to be released depending on what survey says.
I have the complete alphabet in both.
This alphabet was produced from my hand loving to scribble and sketch in speed.
Yeah I'm with the second B too. I do like the Chinese stamps on the 'b' one and also like the colour combination of the red and the blue, and how it looks like ordinary blue biro (to me).
But the B one stands out a lot more. I like the thicker, bold orange on the lighter bits underneath.
Both lovely though!
